Economic Resource Council Appointment

Rooters,

I wanted to share with you all something that will probably get into the paper before I was ready for it do so. I have been approached by the ERC to be its Interim President and CEO, and I have accepted. (Though its not truly a done deal, because we haven’t finalized a contract.) It was leaked today and there has been some blogging already….small town!!

They cannot pay me enough to do the job full time, so it is my intention to work really hard this year, continue my real estate practice and try to get that organization functioning at a higher level, it should be a challenge and exciting. So…nothing will change around the office, I will still be working with Patty Taylor in commercial and will also continue with my Land Development and Residential practice as well.  I hope I can count on your support in this endevour and you never know, I may be asking for help along the way as projects present themselves.

MORE ON 545 MAIN STREET, NEVADA CITY

More info on the house I am hoping you will be able to come see this Thursday morning from 11 to 11:30. 545 Main Street.

This is the original Edward Spence house built in 1866 on a double lot, 0.83 acres. It is now on the Historical Registry. Spence went on to be Mayor of Los Angeles and helped build the Mt Wilson Observatory.
He sold to Judge Addison Niels. Niels sold to Niels Searls and it stayed in the Searls family for 4 generations.

It is one of the prime properties in Nevada City. The home has 4 bedrooms. One year old roof. All the floors redone a custom painted is the past few years. At least 3000 sq ft. and two out buildings.

This is a tough one to price and I really want as many of us to see it as possible.
